Matúš BAKOŇ

Matus Bakon (PhD.) is Founder-CEO of insar.sk s.r.o. He has graduated from the Slovak University of Technology in the field of geodesy and remote sensing. His research interests are in deformation monitoring via satellite radar interferometry (InSAR). After gaining experience in remote sensing laboratories worldwide (Czech Technical University in Prague, Leibniz University Hannover, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, UTAD Portugal) where he devoted his attention to the development of InSAR monitoring systems, he was a guest researcher at German Aerospace Agency (DLR), Department of Software and Simulation technology. He is currently a visiting lecturer at the Department of Environmental Management (University of Presov) with focus on exploitation of Copernicus satellite missions for environmental science, risk management and sustainable development. As a Founder CEO of insar.sk s.r.o. he has started a development of a platform for continuous deformation monitoring to support early warning systems.
