Edyta WOŹNIAK
Edyta Woźniak (Ph.D. in 2011 in Earth Science, M.Sc. in 1999 in Geography) is a geomatics specialist at the Earth Observation Group in CBK PAN. Has over 15 years of experience in the field of satellite optical and radar image processing, classification and interpretation, as well as GIS modelling. Her interests are focused on ecosystem services assessment, natural risk monitoring, land cover classification. She has been actively involved in a number of EU, ESA, Ministry of Science and Higher Education funded projects: AF3- development of algorithm for burnt areas and fuel model mapping; B-First – land cover classification using SAR images, Feasibility study of Sentinel-1 classification – multi-temporal polarimetric data fusion, Eco-services in tourism – evaluation of potential, tourist mobility modelling, Erosion processes in Cantabrian Range – tracking of soil erosion on ENVISAT or Landsat images, SATMIROL, EOSTAT - crop mapping using SAR polarimetry, etc.
